Pembina – Accelerating Capture

  • Ironhorse has a working interest of 15.625% in a Pembina Nisku light oil play located in central Alberta. The assets include oil wells 9-5 and 14-5 plus water injector 10-5.
  • Production was initiated in Pembina Nisku L2L pool from 9-05 well in March 2014.
  • In July 2014, new blend gas supply was tied into 13-02 plant and production increased to peat rates of 94 Boe/d net pending facility upgrades. At the same time the pool received AER approval on water injection and Enhanced Recovery Scheme Applications.
  • On March 9, 2015, Sinopec Canada completed 13-02 battery expansion with operational testing underway. The plant completion will allow for material increase in production and cash flow.
  • On April 16, 2015, the L2L pool was producing from both the 09-05 and 14-05 wells at an average combined rate of 1700 boe/d gross at restricted choked rates. Water injection into the 10-05 injection well was at 2500 barrels of water per day.
  • On January 19, 2016, Ironhorse announced that its Pembina production would be shut in to preserve the asset's value while oil and gas prices are low.
  • Production from the L2L pool resumed without incident on July 19, 2016.
